What is the difference between the ACT™ and InfoCrimp™ Technology? |
|

The new InfoCrimp™ Technology for Crimper is a tablet based system that is connected to the Internet.
It provides all of the features of the ACT™ system plus many more features.

Will the technology work offline? |
|
|
Yes! The InfoCrimp™ crimper uses the connection to update software and crimping information but an Internet connection is not required for most controller features.
An Internet connection is required for the support ticket and other connected services but all the functionality of the InfoCrimp™ controller is supported offline.
Periodic connection to the Internet is suggested to ensure the software and system is up to date. |

Can I retro fit my existing crimper? |
|
|
Custom Crimp® is currently developing our retro fit program. Recently manufactured crimpers will support retro fits with the InfoCrimp™ Controller. Requirements, costs and release schedule information will be released at a future date, please check with your Custom Crimp® sales representative for more details. |

How safe is my information? |
|
|
We use industry leading security to protect your information. Data transferred back and forth from CrimpCloud to you your crimper is secured using standard industry leading encryption practices, in order to prevent an unauthorized users from accessing this information.
Our goal is to provide customers with leading technology, we securely collect and our team uses this data to deliver advance features tailored to your individual needs. |

My Start button disappeared (on my ACT™ controller)? Why are buttons missing or not responding? |

Reset the PLC. See the manual for your machine for specific details. Manuals are available here. |

Where can I find crimp specifications? |
|
|
Crimp specifications are unique to each hose and fitting manufacturer. Please contact your hose and fitting manufacturer for specific crimp settings.
Once you have the correct crimp specifications, this site can provide all the required information to install, calibrate, setup and crimp your hose assembly. |

Plugged in my new machine but the machine does not open or close? |
|
|
The most common reason is an incorrect electrical connection. While many machines are available with different voltages as options, each machines is pre-configured during manufacturing for a specific plug/voltage/electrical phase. |

|
|
Manuals are available here. Manuals can be viewed online or downloaded for offline viewing. |

What weight hydraulic oil should be used? |
|
|
ISO Viscosity Grade 46 is standard. In colder working environments, Grade 32 should be used. |
|

The crimper motor "growls", what is causing this? |
|
|
- Crimper electrical supply issues: make sure the crimper is connected directly to the output (no extension cords).
- Make sure the 3 Phase power is correct. All 3 phases should be hot.
- Make sure you are connected to the correct power: 3 phase vs. 1 phase.

I hit the pendent switch and hear clicking sound? |
|

Check wires going to run/stop switch. |

Why does my test bench not release pressure? |
|
|
Check the dump value. See test bench manual here. |

|
What fluid can be used in my test bench? |
|
|
Test benches are configured with the appropriate configuration when the test bench is ordered. |
|

Why does the test bench not build pressure? |
|
|
- The dump value is not properly shutting.
- Seals on the pump are leaking.
- Make sure the air pressure is high enough (Correct value varies with application). Check the air pressure regulator. |

Why does the test time out? |
|
|
The hose is too long or their is air in the hose assembly being tested. Bleed air from the hose prior to testing. |
|
|
Why is the closed bleed value warning flashing at the start of the test? |
|
|
Warning turns off at 250 psi. |
